Aretha Wilson who pleaded no contest to the assualt was sentenced to two years in prison. It is likely that she will spend six months of that sentence since she has already spent a year behind bars and her lawyer believes that it may be even less time with good behavior. After serving whatever is left of her time in prison Wilson will be deported back to Canada.
The assault left the movie star with severe wounds needing 17 stitches. After the altercationg Aretha Wilson ran away to Canada but came back to plea not guilty. If she was found guilty it would've landed her behind bars for 7 years. In a statement Wilson claimed that she got into the party with the help of Rick Salmon (Paris Hilton's one time boyfriend) and thought that Leonardo Dicaprio was her ex-boyfriend who was the real intended target.
Leonardo Dicaprio's lawyer said that he was happy the case was over.
