It has been announced today that Atlanta rapper Shawty Lo signed to 50 cent's G-Unit records.
Shawty Lo is popularly known for being a part of the group "D4L" which gained a lot of recognition with their debut single "Betcha Can't Do It Like Me" in 2004 and "Laffy Taffy" in 2006.
In 2008 Shawty Lo went solo releasing his album "Units In The City" and the his first single "Dey Know" reached number 3 on the "Hot Rap Tracks" chart.
Shawty Lo had this to say about signing to G-Unit:
"It's like a new beginning and all I need was someone behind me. 50 Cent is a marketing genius and I got my new thing D4L and G-Unit and we going to be working the south and the rest of the world if need be".Shawty Lo also said he "signed a really large deal" with G-unit.
To celebrate his signing with G-Unit Lo also released a new mixtape hear it below.
I didn't know people were still signing to G-Unit.
